The 1960's Christmas

This was a typical wish list of the 1960's in America. These are just some of the gifts that made us happy if you can believe it! It was a very exciting time to be a "young miss." I know I will never forget it.

Don't forget Mom

WEBCOR. The voice of music.

Everything a gal needed to be a sophisticated smoker!

To look like THIS at a Christmas party!

Let Us Not Seek

Let us not seek the Republican answer, or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future. John F. Kennedy

ANSEL ADAMS: MASTERWORKS

From May 15-September 30, The Pauly Friedman Art Gallery at Misericordia University presented an exhibition that featured a collection of forty-seven works by Ansel Adams (1902-1984, which constituted nearly two-thirds of a selection Adams made late in his life to serve as a representation of his life's work. Called "The Museum Set," these works reveal the importance Adams placed on the drama and splendor of natural environments. These photos were breathtaking! Treat yourself and go.

Is John For Hire?

Diane, Trapper's wife, is the envy of the neighborhood. She wanted some brand new curb appeal for the front of the home. This meant ripping out the old and doing a new beautiful landscape. And so he did. Trapper cut out a new layout, dug everything out, chains and the truck pulled out the old bushes, put down miles of weed barrier, picked out the new plantings, with the help of Diane, planted everything and finally put down tons of decorative stone. Whew! All Diane has to do is water. Ladies what can I say.

The Dreaded First Cut

Today was the day. I can't push the date up anymore. The lawn looked like a shaggy dog. No sweat! Pop the battery into the Kobalt and life is good. No noxious fumes billowing into my face, no oil to check and no smelly gas cans. Ladies, if you are the only one that cuts the grass you might want to look into this. Lowe's carries the Kobalt and Home Depot has the Eco. I bought the largest because of my big lot. Different sizes means different prices. They are also very quiet. You are not annoying the neighbors at dinner time.

Spring Project

How to take a 1970's bedroom that was graced with dark brown awful paneling and turn it into a soft yellow cottage feel. The miracle of paint. When the cabana striped curtains get back into place, all the furniture is arranged, white molding around the ceiling, and wonderful bedding, it will feel like a weekend at the lake.
